How We Met

In this digital age, the path to love can take unexpected turns, and ours began on a Christian dating app. We didn’t know it then, but we were already living out Proverbs 3:5–6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart… and he will make your paths straight.” We both trusted God to lead us, even in unconventional ways, and He did, right to each other. His profile stood out with its warmth and sincerity, and I couldn’t resist sending a message. Our conversations flowed with ease, full of laughter and shared values, and it wasn’t long before he asked me out on our first date.

He suggested a movie night. A simple plan, but one that made space for us to just be ourselves. I barely remember the film, because I was too busy watching him. Looking back, I realize it was Psalm 37:23 in action: “The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.” That night, every little detail, his kindness, his presence, the easy silence between us, felt like divine choreography. After the credits rolled, we kept the night going with a walk under the stars, trading dreams and stories like old friends.

A Memorable Moment

Somewhere between starlight and laughter, he leaned in to kiss me. Totally caught off guard, and suddenly very aware of my nerves, I gave him a high-five instead. Yes, a high-five. His stunned face quickly turned into laughter, and in that moment, something real took root. That spontaneous, silly gesture became one of our favorite memories, a perfect symbol of the joy and surprise that define our relationship. It reminds me of Zephaniah 3:17: “He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” Our love has always had that music: lighthearted, unexpected, and full of delight.

The Journey Continues

From that very first night, our journey has been a blend of fun, faith, and intentional love. We’ve seen how beautifully God weaves stories when we let go and trust Him with the pen. Like it says in Song of Solomon 3:4, “I have found the one whom my soul loves.” And with that love, anchored in grace, full of laughter, we’re stepping into forever.
